J's will always be popular, any of them
I do dig some of the more simple non-canvas style Chucks though. Doubt I'd ever buy them, but I like the look enough.
When you start adding colors though, they look like-
oh no doubt, you have to keep them simple
I ordered two pairs.. The Titans one and this combo which I've always wanted.
You can never find a black sole with white highlights and the old school badge..
This pair is totally Ramones (even though I think they wore Keds lol)
Yes, Chucks are as timeless as bluejeans and leather jackets..
I don't spend a lot of time obsessing about shoes but I do know what I like and that is a nice pair of Chucks and some tasty gumsole Dr martens..
And the irony of these new Doc Marten Chuck styled shoes is not lost on me..
I still love the first few iterations of Jordans. Mid to late 90's not so much. The reason they are more popular among sneaker geeks is that they cost more and are harder to find. Also, they are street style.
Chucks and minimalist sneakers like Tretorns are quite popular with men with style. It's just classic menswear and not street style. I own sneakers that cost more than Jordans and most people would mistake them for Vans. But they look great with shorts and chinos and always will.
The reason they cost more is because of demand though. I wouldn't say "harder to find".
Which is why Chucks are popular too- cheap and easy to pair with things without having to commit much thought.
