Well that is fine, but he did have some success there, and Atlanta isnt exactly a super great franchise with a ton of historical success. I think teams are way to quick to give up on HC's at times, and I hope that is the case with Mularkey. THis is his 3rd HC job, but he got a total of 3 years at the other two and did have a winning record one of those 3 years. We will see how that pans out, but Mike Smith to the Jags I dont know would be a bad thing for them.

THey were 8-8 last year and 8-5 so far this year. His first 2 seasons with them they were 11-5 and 9-7. And, that was with Ryan as a rookie, not an established vet.

Well clearly you think he can catch lighting again

I just don't like him to lead a whole team

I am not necessarily saying he can, and honestly I was trying to relate this more to Mularkey, and how hiring a retread coach isnt necessarily a bad thing, and Smith did have quite a bit of success his first go round.

I saw some things his last year there that just screamed nerd, not HC.

He's smart but he was trying too hard at the end there and it rubbed people the wrong way.

Maybe he's learned from that but idk that, so for now I'm still under the impression he'd be a good hire from a Titans fans point of view

Jacksonville's problem extends beyond the HC I think, so I am not sure how much it matters. Their management was great when they were an expansion team, but has been terrible sense. They fire a coach who has them in the AFC championship game their 2nd year of existence, and has several really good years after that, who then goes on to win 2 superbowls somewhere else. They fire Del Rio who was decent their, but now has the Raiders as a SB contender why Jacksonville still sucks. I think their problems go higher than the HC, so I dont think it matters much who they hire.

It always comes down to who do you have at QB

In this day and age I agree, though you have to be able to protect the QB too.

If you have "the GUY" at qb and a good o line...you always have a chance. Running game may not make the headlines in september and october but it wins games in dec. and jan.
