Pro football players being consummate competitors, always are battling against each other in some sort of game, even in the locker room.

There are always video games playing, while in the past card games, domino's and even chess have found their way into the Titans locker room.

But last week, a new game emerged, courtesy of CB Cortland Finnegan.

“Cornhole,” a game involving two rectangular raised wooden platforms with a hole cut out and bags filled with corn, was the game of choice at Baptist Sports Park during OTAs.

“I bought it at a Special Olympics auction, and I started to take it home, but I decided to bring it in here and have fun with it,” Finnegan said. “I just thought I’d bring it out to have a good time.”

Finnegan and safety Michael Griffin quickly challenged each other, with each winning once, before teaming up to take on all comers.

In fact, the game is perhaps making too much of an impact in the locker room, as the noise was interrupting QB Kerry Collins media session. When asked about the game, Collins joked, “This is the first day, but I’m about tired of it already. The only sport I want to play today that involves a hole is golf.”

JC, got a link to where that came from?

Are people really unfamiliar with cornhole? It's been a trendy tailgating game for a while, and I'm sure it's an old game.

Yeah, yeah... everyone is all about playing cornhole up here in Cincinnati.

However, every single time I hear someone mention it, I snicker because all I can think of is the line in Office Space:

Lawrence:"Watch out for your cornhole, bud."

Yep, their all about cornholing up here...

I think most people know Cornhole by bean-bag-toss. Just sounds slightly less pre-school.

Last year we won a contract that involved a lot of outdoor games, and cornhole was one of them. over here in the Sandwich Isles, nobody had heard of it; but much fun was poked at the name, especially by my gay employers. Now it's turning up in sporting goods store flyers.
