Could Titans make a play for Malcolm Butler?

    With all the talk about FA corners and potential corners in the draft, could the Titans make a play for RFA Malcolm Butler this offseason?

    Widely considered one of the top 5 Corners in the league, and at age 26, Butler could be a cornerstone of the Titans D for the next half decade. Obviously, we'd love to have him, but what would it cost?

    The Pats are likely to tender Butler with a 1st round tender, meaning if we sign him, we'd owe the Pats one of our first rounders. But which 1st rounder is our choice.

    Could Robinson make a magic move? Trading our #18 pick back to the end of the first round, picking up a 2nd, etc. in the process, and then giving the late 1st rounder to the Pats while acquiring Butler in his prime?

    It's an interesting thought, especially if Bouye is franchised and Johnson is extended in LA.

    This is goTitans, where Titans fans think the Titans will go after and sign every good player in the league.

    My answer is no, the Titans aren't likely trading a first round pick for a player. (Or signing every good player we can think of)

    Yeah its not going to happen. Plenty of good corners available this FA. Zero reason to spend big money AND give up a 1st rounder for Butler.

    I can't see going after any high level RFA. I do think there is a chance we look at DeMarco Murray type trades.
