Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky
The Tennessee Titans would love to have Jay Cutler as their quarterback for the long term.

The Jacksonville Jaguars could feel a lot more comfortable with Cutler leading their huddle.

Anything can happen.

Still, I don't envision either of the AFC South teams that might want to upgrade at quarterback entering the Cutler sweepstakes.

The Titans have a couple connections: Cutler played his college ball at Vanderbilt in Nashville and offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger worked with the young quarterback as part of Denver's staff. But Tennessee is not big on trading high draft picks, and their top one isn't very high at No. 30. The Titans don't have a quarterback Denver would want and recently committed $15 million to Kerry Collins over the next two seasons.

The Jaguars need a solid season out of David Garrard to justify the contract he got last year and they could draft a quarterback to pressure him and give themselves options beyond 2009. But new general manager Gene Smith has pledged to make his mark building through the draft, and I can't imagine him dealing his first first-rounder -- the No. 8 pick - as part of a trade for Cutler.

Yeah .... a trade back for more picks and a hell of a player.

    Oh well.

Watching Total Access now and they're speculating that Washington may be the front runner right now for Cutler. Trading Campbell to Denver with some picks. Also they say this move might make sense because rumors have Shanahan possibly being the next head coach of Washington.

The only chance the Titans had at Cutler was in the 2006 draft.

I don't see any feasible way to trade for Cutler.

We have over 30 players who will be Free Agents after this season or the next.

We need all our picks this season and next.

Our picks are low picks this season, and will likely be low picks for next season too (hopefully very low ;)).

Will likely only fill 2-6 spots with quality free agents.

Hindsight is 20/20... I think most of us would be lying if we said that we didn't want VY.

I was so happy to get him, but things just didn't turn out the way we wanted... The Titans are not idiots for drafting VY. It was a hit or miss, and unfortunately, it seems to be a miss.
