Ive known people who got the 'stop that crap' letters.
Charter is lazy or I'm good...
One of the two.
There are ways to block your traffic for a few bucks a month.
I got one a while back and it spooked me quite a bit.
I was actually better at illegal downloads as a middle schooler/high schooler. Pretty clueless now.
I'd strangle a nun for DSL out here. The cap on our net is such a pain.
For me to illegally download anything would make me a huge friggin hypocrite. I can't rail about The Man screwing us if I'm screwing someone else...even if it's The Man himself. I also just can't take any chances; I would be permanently screwed if I got charged with any sort of piracy and I wouldn't waste that sort of life on glum complacency...I have too many enemies.
Hades says "Time out, we're not stooping that low!"
in the bizness huh?
good for you. I met a few of those guys. Not bad people but sucky jobs. ASCAP enforcement dudes. Had to go to resturarants and ask to see their compliance crap. Of course none did. Then they had to sue them ect.... crappy job. At least as I understood it.
Cover bands even gotta buy licenses. Lawyers don't make money by repealing laws or restrictions, ya know.
I don't download music or movies.
Spotify is worth it.
I download HBO shows, not currently as I have HBO, and digital comics mainly.
A few years ago I ripped like 20 gigs of music off PB. I had every song I could ever want.
Laptop got stolen. Welp.
Movies I want to see I go to the theater to watch or get on Redbox.
Yea... I just use Netflix. Redbox is a rarity considering if it's a new movie that I wanted to see I already saw it in theaters.
I use Spotify religiously... but only the free version (too cheap). On the laptop it's just as good as premium minus an ad here and there. I plug my phone up and use it in the car, listening to a playlist comprised of all the songs I've liked.
You should use 90's radio sometime (on road trips). Classic... Some awful sh*t and some great sh*t, but it's all nostalgia either way.
