D-Lineman Red Bryant now available

    According to Jags beat writer Ryan O'Halloran DT/DE Red Bryant has been released.

    You may recall him being a cap casualty in Seattle 2 years ago, and looks to be the same reason for today's release. I'll tell you at 6'4" 320+lbs Bryant sure could help our run D.

    Bryant cashed in last offseason and only became a part-time player in Jacksonville last year, I bet he'd be a cheap signing that would bolster a weak defense. Im all for a 1-year deal.

    We should be stocking up on players, we really dont have much depth, and I dont think we're getting Wilfork so this would be a decent consolation prize.

    Wilfork is too old, I haven't seen much of Bryant but I'm sure the market will be pretty high for a tackle that big. Can he play in 3-4? Jaguars and Seahawks both run 4-3's I think.

    I would add him as a possible replacement for Klug as depth. Probably ends up going back to Seattle on a cheap deal.

    Free agency is where you fill needs, we have a lot.

    Adding an elite run stuffier wouldn't be bad in any kind of way for one of the worst run D's.

    He was a 320lb DE in a 4-3, the man can play anywhere lol

    Jevon Kearse was a 4-3 end at 260, imagine a guy with that motor coming at you off the edge? Its not even fair.

    We could play him at DE or NT. he's all power.
