D-Rey is getting cut if this is all he offers

    I think they only signed him because they weren't 100% sure Mariani would be ready yearly this year and he is a decent #2 option. I agree though I think he is the odd man out as Mariani is just too consistent and Battle will take the #3 RB spot.

    Reynaud is hard to read. Last preseason, he was the best RB on the field. Last night, he looked skittish and didn't seem to press the hole. Maybe he'll get some reps with the first team OL next week because, right now, I don't know if he's a viable option at RB.

    Mariani looked good last night and has been playing well at camp. We've not seen Walter yet who, IMO, impacts whether or not Mariani is kept over Reynaud.

    Ya, I really, really like Rey Rey. He didn't show much last night. With the stacked RB class we have, I am worried he's on the bubble. Mariani is back so Rey Rey will not take the return spot. I saw a couple young guys returning. I think they were auditioning for the Mariani Back Up Squad. Poor Darius. Gonna miss ya bro.

    By the looks of things, Mariani has that return job locked up (he knows what he's doing), he ran thru lanes like a champ last night, way to go Mariani!

    D-Rey just wastes too much time dancing to keep at RB, and Mariani is at least looking good vs those back-up Redskins.

    Agreed.

    I was honestly more impressed with his first run though were he took what the defense gave him and got the 2 yard gain. Last year he tries to cut to the back side and takes a loss. I really believe having a revamped OL and a back that will actually compete for carries has motivated Johnson.

    Mariani as the return specialist. We're gonna be carrying a s*it-ton of WRs this year.. could be 6-7 easily.
