Danny Amendola signs with the Pats

    Kinda worried that we tried shopping NW and won't get what we want which could equal to a disgruntled employee.

    Patriots agreed to terms with Danny Amendola, formerly of the Rams, on a five-year, $31 million contract.

    The deal includes $10 million guaranteed. New England was unwilling to match the Broncos' two-year, $12 million offer to Wes Welker, and instead chose to go out and pay the same annual average to a player four years younger in Amendola. It's hard to fault them for wanting to get younger, but Amendola has played in just 12 games over the last two seasons. However, when healthy, he's a much more explosive player than Welker. Amendola showed the ability to play on the outside in 2012, something he didn't do at all in his first three seasons. The market was thought to be softening for slot receivers, but this deal proves that wrong. The move should bring a smile back to Tom Brady's face.

    I figured his contract would be larger than NW so I never understood the move to shop Nate in attempt to get DA

    There had to be another motive at play here we don't know about
