DaQuan Jones to IR

He’s a DE in name only. DE’s are basically DTs in 3-4, dip****. Regardless, his main job is to stop the run, not rush the passer. That’s what the OLB are for.

Also, I’m pretty sure you don’t know what the word “homer” means.

 

Man you are digging yourself a hole. First calling him a nose tackle, then referring to him as a DT and confusing the duties of a DLineman in a 3-4 scheme. You must not know what a 3-4 OLB does too.

I hope our run defense doesnt go to sh it because of his injury. Thats the only thing that kept us in game all season.

 

Hope not too. We have good DL depth and while Jones was good, he's no all star. Austin Johnson should fill in nicely.

Time for Austin Johnson to step up.

Also time for Sylvester Williams to finally earn a paycheck for the first time this year. But I'm sure that's asking for too much.

 

I’m not holding my breath for Williams to do a damn thang, dude is garbage. I honestly cannot recall a single play where his name was called for a tackle or even a qb hurry. On the other hand I heard Austin Johnson’s name plenty after Jones went down.

 

Johnson is a plugger, he'll fill in nicely against the run.

Williams name isn't called much, but is a NT's name ever called? Their hole purpose in life is to occupy blockers, not exactly stat worthy. Has played fairly well so far this season, if anything, better than expected (the expectations were low of course).

Klug should come in on passing downs more and hopefully get back into a groove.

 

Just letting you know the typo of “hole purpose” is requiring great restraint on my part.
