Campbell looked really good in the preseason.

Butler has looked really bad in previous regular seasons.

I'd take my chances with Campbell.

Campbell made some high profile plays for us this preseason but his coverage on a play by play basis was not great even against 2nd rate receivers. I think Hawkins is more reliable in coverage.

There is an exception you can go by with Butler. Chris Houston looked like a certifiable bust in Atlanta but now he is doing pretty good for the Lions and starting. Houston was a similar prospect when he came out and was also a 2nd rd pick. An exception but not the rule.

Where did you see Campbell's coverage lacking? He always seemed to be in position when I was watching the games. I never saw him more than a few yards from the receiver on any given play. And with that said, even Verner/Finny/McCourty give up that much ground at times.

He didn't have a ton of balls thrown to his side which is a good thing. When they did throw to his side he made plays.
