Does this mean Preston is coming back up? Hell Yeah.
LMFAO!!!!! Cj1yd???? Out biggest weapon period? Are you insane? Lets try this. Have u ever heard of kendal wright? Nate washington? Not to mention any other productive ball carrier on the team? Oh, you mean rushing yards? Ever heard of our most consistant runner jake locker? Lol. Cj1yd a threat, lol lol lol.
If CJ is going to be useless as a running back, might as well put him at punt returner.
C.J. would definitely be an interesting returner but with his hands and his catching skills i'd be afraid he would be prone to drop one now and then.
Put CJ or Britt on returns.
DW for punts and cj for kickoff returns.
Agreed with you guise! Make use of CJ and Britt beyond their normal roles so we can justify their salaries somehow!
I think Campbell should be our returner. He has had a couple of TD's on special teams before.
Titans coach Mike Munchak said he sensed that returner Darius Reynaud had gradually lost confidence in himself over the past few weeks, which was one of the primary reasons the team chose to cut him on Monday.
Reynaud had an awful game during Sunday’s loss to San Francisco, with two glaring errors: He allowed one kickoff to bounce at about the 5-yard line before picking it up, and then fumbled a punt that resulted in a San Francisco touchdown.
“When you’re a specialist, you’re here to do one thing mainly and you have to do it well, and if you don’t do it, everyone knows it,” Munchak said. “It’s one of those things where it’s either pass or fail.
“We thought that (in previous weeks), he wasn’t necessarily making great decisions, but he made enough (good ones) to balance it out. But I think it reached the point where confidence became an issue … and I think when that starts factoring into how you play, it’s a problem.”
Munchak said wide receiver Damian Williams is likely to take over the team’s punt-return role, and said Williams could be the kick returner as well. But Munchak said the team will also look at other options – including current free agents – for the kick-returner role.
Munchak said he has no second thoughts about putting former returner Marc Mariani (shoulder) on injured reserve prior to the season, instead of placing him on injured reserve/recall, which would have allowed Mariani to return to the active roster after eight weeks.
“Reynaud made a lot of great plays last year, and he didn’t show us any reason he wouldn’t make similar plays this year,” Munchak said. “So no, I don’t think we would have done anything differently. If Marc was healthy, it would have been a different story. But Marc wasn’t healthy and Marc still isn’t healthy, so we never know how it would have played out going the other way.”
