    Calling all geeks! :geek:

I heard about this on the radio today, some mini-series that's coming on the Sci-Fi channel. I read something about it being an inspiration for Tolkein's Lord Of The Rings. Anyone know anything about this?

  2. I've seen commercials, but that's the limit of my knowledge of it. As far as I know, it will be the normal SciFi Channel junk...

Well it's been ok so far....guess about as much as can be expected from Sci-Fi. Seen a few things that may relate to LOTR.

I do not understand the attraction to Stargate shows. Even old farts watch ithem. They look like 1970's primetime productions.

I'm a Galactica kinda guy, so it's not a matter of the genre; it's a matter of the production values. I jus can't get into that "paste a deformation on the side of his head and call him an alien being" kind of thing.
But I guess I've always seen serial television that way. Modern dramas look more like movies.
