Defense Still Matters in the NFL

I could seriously see these going any way and anyone could make great cases both for and against.

Lots of playoff experience on all sides except the 49ers. Man I would love to see a Ravens/49ers Super Bowl.

 

I think this would be my favorite scenario as well. A Harbaugh Bowl would be a lot of fun.

 

I do not want to see a Harbaugh Bowl. That Thanksgiving game sucked.

 

Well, I doubt you have to worry about that happening, as I just don't see the Ratbirds beating the Patriots.


But... the Broncos beat the Stoolers, so you never know I suppose.

 

Steelers had a lot of injuries and a banged up Big Ben.

I'm going with the Pats vs Giants..

My Brother told me mid season that it would be the 49ers vs Ravens in the SB. At the time I thought he was stupid, but it is realistic now.

 

Tell that to Tom Brady and the 32nd ranked New England Patriots defense.

 

Not every team has a Tom Brady ya know.

 

Patriots & Giants would be awesome. Rematch of 18-no season ender.

 

its not really defense as a whole as it is the defensive line. a good defensive line will make corner backs and safeties look like probowlers. think 2008 titans. wide receivers and tight ends are too good for defenses to lay back in coverage and cover them. if you aren't pressuring the qb and making him make the mistakes instead of sitting back and waiting for him to make the mistake, you won't be successful.
