    Defensive pressure against Romo VIDEO

Here is some video of the defensive pressure against Romo. Let me know if you all see anything that sticks out. It looks like there were a lot of quick throws.

Well we should be used to it facing Peyton twice a year, and we've sacked him plenty. Was a weak effort to say the least.

Yes it was a weak effort to say the least. But I'm not worried. Dallas looked like they were playing a reg season game. We looked like we were just practicing our gellin'.
If we play like that during a RS game, them Imma be pissed.

It was a combination of a few things...

First off we stuck with 4 the whole time - so Dallas often had 2 double teams with the C and a G on a DT and a T and TE on a DE, not to mention any RB help. That's where preseason comes into play - in the RS the Titans would adjust the D a bit according to the protection they were seeing.

But even the one-on-one matchups seemed weak. Guys getting stood up or just pushed past the pocket. That happens 95% of the snaps, though - all it takes is getting past once or twice to make an impact on the game. But still you'd like to see more than what we got.

Preseason is where bad teams go to give away their secrets.

we're going to have trouble with teams with big offensive lines like the cowboys. although at the same time we didn't stunt or twist a single time that i saw.

Could not have said that better myself.

We aren't going to have any problems with lines being bigger than ours.
Like MJ said, Cecil will adjust if that happens in the RS. Plus, it's not like Washburn has never had to deal with opposing O lines bigger than his D linemen. Likewise Dinger will adjust the O line if need be.
IIRC, Balti's D line (front 7 even) were bigger than our Oline last year and we held them off.

Or blitz, which we did a lot of in the first two games. From what I saw, the D-Line did OK, but Romo was making good fast decisions with the ball, and kept the defense off balanced with the screens and checkoffs.

Im not sure we could have been more vanilla on defense.

For some comedy, check out around 3:15 in the video. Dave Ball is rushing and leaves his feet, presumably to try and block the pass. Flozell throws him down on his back.
