I eliminated doubles and simplified positions just to condense this a little.

I'm saying Ealy makes it. He blew a lot of chances last night, but also showed more promise than anyone that I have not making it. He caught one decent pass, and caught the one on the sidelines, but didn't get the second foot in bounds. That can be fixed, I think he'll show a little more and make it in the next couple of games. However, that last spot is clearly still open.

I really wanted to have Ingle Martin make it, but just couldn't. Yes, he could kick, but even if Bironas got injured, we can't activate the third QB mid game to go in as our kicker, unless we also bring him in to play QB. So he's not as valuable, unless we do think that we'd be happy with him as either our 2nd kicker or QB if Bironas or Young or Collins got hurt, and I don't think that he's there yet, for either position.

I don't remember, is Amato back from his ACL? I don't remember anything about him last night, and couldn't find it with a quick search. If he's recovered, he makes the team for long snapper, and special teams.

I could easily see one less LB making it, and adding in another FB/TE/RB/WR, but goodness knows which one...

Anyone else have thoughts on this one, or a depth chart of their own?

 

We wish Tully was starting, but it won't happen. That's the only big qualm I have. I have no idea how the WRs will pan out. I still think Jones might get cut.

 

We need to sign another WR to compete. I hate our WR core.

 

i might keep Ganther over Henry if it came down to it
he's similar in ways to White and could be helpful in spelling the workhorse

while Henry shares similarities with Johnson, (hopefully) Johnson won't be ran into the ground- therefore decreasing the need for a back-up
