He has 8 tackles in four games.

Dude has been invisible outside of playing against an o-line that was totally clueless.

 

He's not invisible vs better O-Lines, what he does just doesn't show up on the stat sheet in the way youd like, but his contributions dont go unnoticed.

I wouldn't expect you to change your opinion on Morgan after all these years of bashing him, but the pressure he gets does leads to hurried passes which in turn are less likely to produce yards.. Also, without Morgan on the other side Orakpo is rendered useless. It takes 2, and we have a solid duo with Morgan.

 

Seriously watch the first half of the Vikings game. He was constantly winning battles.

 

Derrick Morgan Pass Rusher Extraordinaire's almost sacks are just as good as sacks. That's the line I've been fed for six years.

So why all the high-fives when he actually gets sacks? Shouldn't we be celebrating any time he sniffs the QB, which is rare.

 

He normally does win battles, he just lacks that closing speed to finish the job and reach the QB on most plays.

Hes a quality player, we're better off because of him.

 

Only thing that matters is sacks. He could sit on his ass on run plays and as long as he got 10 sacks a year people would be thrilled.

 

Another **** offensive line that was put into long 3rd down situations because we sold out against the run.

If only he had gotten to the QB and finished the damn play maybe we would have stopped them on third down once or twice.
