Would be as good as he was, and I know some of you people hate him for gambling and all. But post your opinions you tro.... I mean nice people.

I think he could be, depending on what position and what team he ends up with. I remember when people said Ricky Williams wouldn't be any good after his 1st and 2nd vacation... came back and looked like he hadn't lost a step.
It might take him 1/2 a season to get in shape and he may not play long- but he could be exciting again. Maybe at RB? Who knows.

You think that people would care that he gambled, but not that he organized a dog fighting ring for several years and directly participated in killing several of the losers?

He might be able to come back and be a decent RB, but I don't think he can play QB again. He wasn't that great at it when he had his first chance.

Mike Vick is not a RB. His running style doesn't suit the position. He can burn you terribly if your looking for the pass. Defenders expecting him to run will stop him. I believe he will come back as a QB (part-time in 2009) then take over a team in 2010. I also have my money on him going to Jacksonville. The Jaguars play right there close to Vick land, and they need the attention he brings. Also Todd Bouman is old and sucks so Vick can come in as their No. 2 QB this year, miss some time and get it going in time to throw David Garrard to the dogs.

You bring up a good point. However money talks and Vick will fill seats, sell memorabilia, and make Jacksonville relevant.

Yep. You can put a price on almost anything, especially image and dignity.

If a star means a great player, then absolutely not. In a popularity contest, yes. For some reason, average at best players are propped up when they can make the occasional great play, regardless of the numerous game changing mistakes.

However, he may be the greatest benefactor of the emerging Wildcat offense, but we will see with an off-season to prepare for it how effective it really can be.

He brings too much baggage. Some DESPERATE team will pick him up. A team with no WRs and no O-Line thinking he's the Second Coming. Kinda like the Redskins selling the farm for one Fat, never-completed-a-season, DT. Looks good on paper, but it never works.
