I don't know maybe it's just me but watching this MNF game, his passes do not appear to have the same zip on them as they used to.

Am I onto something or should I put down the pipe?

tbh he looks fine to me. He just made some horrible reads. But to be fair, this atlanta D has been extremely impressive.

His arm looks weak to me too, especially on the throws over 15-20 yards. It seems like the velocity is down enough for the defenders to adjust to the ball and make a play. He's not able to force as many throws. His age isn't helping him any.

It's not even his reads though.

Like there was one play on a WR screen to Thomas where it seemed like it took forever for the ball to get there.

Yep. Definitely some wobblers and floaters tonight...

And no one noticed- but on the last drive- The Denver backup QB was warming up to come in the game down by 7. What happened to Manning?

Michael Turner's run sealed it, but for whatever reason the backup was ready to come in it looked like.

He doesn't look like the same Peyton to me either. I think the ATL D did a good job of disgusing coverage, but I also think that part of PMs problem was that he just can't make some of the throws he used too. He might see a window that he could've hit 1-2 years ago, but his arm can't get the ball there anymore, thus the ints.

Even against the Steelers he looked kinda average IMO, especially if you take away the 70 yard screen play to D. Thomas which is essentially a run (of course all the credit goes to PM in the media) from PMs stats.

Going back to last night though ... Even when Peyton wasn't getting picked off, it seemed like the defenders broke up a lot more plays than what we are used to seeing from PM.

I saw this during the pre-season. The media was saying oh he looks like the old manning and they were using charts and line graphs to show angles and all that crap but he definetly has thrown a lot of passes that look like wounded ducks.
