    No.

Hass will start in 12' with no ill will if we do not get Manning.

Until old man Adams woke up 3 days ago, everyone was good with Hasselbeck. Hass knows he's wanted, so no he won't demand a trade. If we do get Manning he would certainly be trade bait, but just cause we talked to Peyton, no he won't be upset by that.

It's a business, doesn't matter how he feels. If Hasselbeck "demands" to leave, let him walk .... then Locker starts. Either way, we win.

The bottom line is Hass doesn't have many options to begin with. If Manning doesn't come here he will get back to work to try and win the starting QB spot. He is under contract (5.5 mil salary) and I think he will honor it. He knew all along when he came here he might not start more than a year since we had Locker anyway.

Now obviously they won't keep him if we do get Manning. No point in paying a guy 5.5 mil you don't need. In that scenario I think we just give him his out right release (he won't bring much in a trade anyway) allowing him to pick what team he might land with. He is about to the point he is only backup or stop gap material anyway and he knows it.

He might even be better off not going to any team right away if he gets released and wait for what happens every year. Some team's QB will get hurt like we saw with the Bears/Colts last year. Then he can step in and start and potentially be on a playoff team.

Does Hasselbeck seem like the guy who would hold out, demand a trade, or whine about anything, after his 10+ years in the league? Doubtful that would change by a team signing one of the all-time best QBs (at least in the regular season)

Don't forget that time he went out was more likely than not a bounty hit by the Saints
