we ran a balanced offense last year, it certainly wasn't a run firat offense like many suggest.

it is likely to be the same next year, but with some improvements in TDs and YAC.

504 pass attempts to 476 rush attempts last year.

Balance is every teams goal, so I suspect we maintain last year's run;pass ratio. It's how we look doing it that likely changes.

Expect less 2 TE sets and more 3 WRs. Unlike last year we actually have WRs worth a damn....

I think it will come down to what is working and the defense they're facing. Last season there were some games we were all yelling to run the ball and some we were yelling to pass the ball.

Say what you want to about Mularkey and Robiski, but they adapted the offense pretty well throughout the season. There was a stretch where Mariota was on fire and they let him loose. There were times they relied on the run game and pounded the ball. Thankfully, they moved away from the trickery they tried the first 4-5 games also.

Overall, it was pretty balanced throughout the season, but it didn't always seem that way game to game.

    Interesting find.

And FWIW, Blount had more carries than Murray last year. So the offense can absolutely become more pass heavy without losing carries. They just have to extend possessions.

Yeah, they actually did a very good job last year. It took a few weeks for them to get the swing of things, but that should be expected with a new coaching staff and many new players.

The only thing that really bothered me about the O was the trickery, and the lack of Henry. But other than that they did a great job, esp with the lack of WR weapons we had.

What excites me about this year is that we could accel at both passing and running, which means we could match up well against almost any D.

I don't think I ever felt like we weren't running the ball enough throughout the season. I look back and understand why we did because of the lack of weapons in the passing game. But I will be very disappointed if the run/pass ratio stays the same.

It's actually a great sign if we're something like 50/50

At the end of the day, the only ratio I care about is wins vs. losses. However they get it done is fine by me.

Our franchise QB apparently has an abundance of weapons now to throw too. I'd rather see the ratio be 60/40.
