I remember Opryland. I turned milk white after going on my first roller coaster. Good times.

Any other members work at Opryhole back in the day? I was a caricature artist there between my junior and senior years in high school.

I worked there one summer during college. I worked on the slowest ride in the park, remember the log ride? The one where you sat and just sort of puttered around a pond. D&mba@$$ uniforms also.:ha:

I think many of the rides ended up at Six Flags in Louisville. I was there a few years back and it looked like they had the Hangman under a different name.

the Hangman entrance sign was used by a bar on Murfreesboro road in Smyrna for quite a few years. The bar was named 'Hangman'

    pretty real good hook IMO

I know exactly what ride you're talking about... It was called T2.

I have a ton of family from Louisville, so I used to go to Kentucky Kingdom when I was younger. It used to be a nice place until Six Flags bought it. It turned into a horrible environment with a bunch of thugs.

Now it's just sitting there, shut down.

I love Kings Island, but ever since they pulled that McNair stunt, I'm not sure I can go there. Six Flags over Georgia was always good, but every time I went there those turds had one ride shut down, under maintenance. They never fixed it and now it's some dumb kid ride.

Meh. Imax is sh*t to me. I've seen a handful of films in an imax theater and could never tell the difference, honestly.

Opryland closing sucked for 2 main reasons to me: 1. All the entertainers (singers, actors, etc) it put out of work. 2. It was literally the only attraction Nashville had.
