This story just keeps getting weirder.
Don't get it twisted for a second. I would take 20 Incognito's if it helped the Titans to the superbowl.
Don't even lie to yourself with this I don't want to win that way BS. Sound like my f'n high school football coach after a dominating Catholic school beat our asses in football playoffs.
Luckily in this case I don't have to choose between my morals and winning since Incognito is a slightly above average player at best. And I only say above average because he did make one pro bowl.
Another player quits.
Ummm... this one I really don't get. Dude, finish the damn season. You're halfway there. Then retire. He just gave up a ton of money. I don't care if you "don't care about money"... at least finish this season.
Sounds like essentially everyone on the Fins supports Incognito lol
They'll both be back sooner than later.
yep. he's a douche, but the locker room sides with him, and the coaching staff thought martin needed to be toughened up. sounds like martin was extremely insecure. he should be a teacher or nurse, not a professional athlete. i'm not saying incognito wasn't wrong, it just screams of the media jumping the gun, and a guy who isn't mentally capable of handling himself. as got said earlier, both guys are losers. incognito should be suspended long-term or banned simply because a continuation of bad behavior is present.
more ridiculous by the second...its no wonder Martin finally had enough. Not only is the team full of morons but the front office is too...
Report: Fins GM suggested 'punch'
Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland suggested offensive tackle Jonathan Martinphysically confront guard Richie Incognito -- even saying he should "punch" him -- as a means to dealing with how he was being treated, Pro Football Talk reported Wednesday night.
According to the report, which cited multiple league sources, Martin's agent, Rick Smith, called Ireland before his client left the team Oct. 28, and complained about the manner in which the second-year player was being treated by Incognito.
In response, Ireland suggested Martin respond to Incognito physically and specifically mentioned that he "punch" the veteran guard, the sources told Pro Football Talk.
Lol good ole Jeff Ireland. Will this finally be the straw after all the losses that ends his tenure in Miami? Honestly thought it was probably well hearted advice. Martin is a grown as man just like Incognito. Martin is listed as what 6'5 320 pounds? lol I mean come off.
People are a bit naive when stuff like this happens in the NFL. Just google the Minnesota Vikings cruise if you want to see the reality of how NFL players get down. Or think of Bryant Mckinnie next time he talks about responsibility.
McKinnie allegedly picked up a naked woman, placed her on the bar and performed cunnilingus on her in front of the crew and other guests. In a June, 2013 Reddit Ask Me Anything Forum, Fred Smoot referred to this act as "runnin through the okra patch". Later that evening McKinnie and three other men were spotted sitting in deck chairs receiving fellatio from four women, which was also observed by the crew in a public area of the boat. When asked, McKinnie said, "I'm upset my name is on the list, but I'm going to let my lawyer handle that."
He might be able to help give the Titan's oline a backbone....
Runnin' through the okra patch. ahahaha
Yea... pretty sure Fred Smoot was getting all up in some of those hoes with a double-headed dildo.
I love saying dildo.
