Tunsils talent shows up on tape, I have no issues with him personally. Its that hes a linemen I dont like.

Same thing when we took Lewan, quality player at a premium position, but I dont value being able to stand up and block people as high as a lot of people. You dont have to be the best at what you do to stop a pass rusher or get in the way of a ILB on runs..

Ramsey is an elite player, lets not screw this up...

I don't quite understand what they are trying to get at with the median draft position stuff.....but if you look at the recent history of the #1 CB taken in the drafts then the bust rate is pretty high because we saw the run of Claiborne, Millner, and Gilbert.

I think that Ramsey has a very very low bust rate potential unless injuries hit him....he has the work ethic, physical skills and positional versatility that should allow him to have a long NFL career. Will he be a Revis shutdown CB??? I doubt it, but could he be an impact player for many years??? I think so.

I'd be fine sticking at #1 and taking Ramsey unless a monster trade offer comes our way.

This is a great point. For every Patrick Peterson, you have a Morris Claiborne.

I think the only reason you can say that Ramsey has a lower Bust rate is because he can play Corner and FS. So once he flames out at Corner, we just slide him to the back end. All shutdown Corners either sink or swim, RARELY do they get another chance at a Safety position.

With the evolution of all these spread offenses, Offensive Linemen have become one of the tougher positions to scout and breakdown. Their skills don't translate nearly as well at the NFL level and they are miles behind where their technique level should be. All the pro-day and combine crap doesn't mean a thing with OL. You truly have to evaluate the tape and see how the player reacted with pads and hands on in the trenches, short yardage, etc.

So you're saying there is a 50% chance Ramsey succeeds? That would be a higher hit percentage than OTs by a mile.

Didn't I just agree with you by saying Ramsey has a lower bust rate?

If you'd like I can go back and look at all first round tackles and Corners and see who's had more productive careers.

By my count that's 8-11 franchise LT/RTs and 3-4 all pro Corners.
