Draft pick watch

I've never understood this mentality. How good a player is isn't related to what school they went to.

There are schools that are known for certain positions etc but that has more to do with recruiting and sometimes coaching. That's not to say the same player wouldnt be just as good coming from a different school into the NFL. It's a whole new ballgame for all of them, really... But I wouldnt take anyone off the board just because past players didn't pan out. Hell there's been "can't miss" prospects from every big college that bust in the NFL. Every pick is an educated gamble.

 

That is very true....Bama is one of the best, and the have plenty of bust picks in the NFL.

 

Remember that fat guy from Alabama we drafted at #10 overall that was supposed to be the best player in that draft? Yeah, he's likely not on the team next year... (I hope)

Unfortunately the Rams got a 3rd round compensatory pick, so it sounds like we'll be getting pick #100 instead of pick #69. That's a pretty large fall and stings even more with us not having a 2nd rounder.
