  1. Grady Jackson doesn't really fit what we normally look for at DT. He's huge, but he's not mobile.

Of course, he's also clearly the best DT available now and we have money to burn...

  2. The Dolphins just cut him, so he's available again...

i was actually expecting big things outa simon...i am dissapointed a bit in him though...i really was ready for him to terrorize beside haynz...but i guess it was never meant to be. although come to think of it...i shouldnt complain we have one of the best lines in the nfl...which means that brown/laboy/odem must finally be pullin their weight.

however, b/c of simons departure i would really like us to sign jackson (if anything insurance polcy for haynz incase we cant get hiim next yr)

Starkiller, I agree that he's not what we usually look for, but I invision Grady recquiring double teams and allowing Haynesworth and the rest of the line to create havoc.

If grady is signed he could play on running downs..I really dont seee anyone being able to run up the middle..then we have Brown who can play on passing donws. sounds like a plan

 Give me, Give me...Give me...Give me Grady!

Look our D-line is great, but if he takes the roster spot of someone who's physically unable to play, how will our D NOT be improved?

We have to get someone, with just 3 DT, a major injury could seriously hamstring us. I'd be ok if it was someone other than Grady, but seriously, I'd be pretty darn happy if it was him.

Grady led the defensive line for Atlanta with 21 tackles, including 5 1/2 for losses and a sack. Last year he led the league with 13 tackles for losses last season. I would say that it would be an excellent pick up.
DeAngelo Hall blasted Petrino over this move and even Warrick Dunn said he didn't understand it. They said they thought Petrino was getting the younger guys playing time for next season essentially calling this season quits.
