Eagles fire DC Sean McDermott

Kerry Collins did make them look foolish, though...

This guy is good. I can only hope we hire him. He's one of the few good DC that still run the 4-3.

 

to mcdermotts credit he was without stewart bradley without alot of the year.

 

Mcdermott had a tough job replacing the late Jim Johnson who produced top ten defenses on a routine basis.

Mcdermott's defense was ranked 12th each of the last 2 years but below average in scoring and i guess that was his problem.

No shame in giving up points to the Packers they ran up and down the field on the Falcons.

It is interesting that they would be so quick to fire a coach after 2 years of mediocre performance but he did replace one of the best in the business so their bar might be a little higher than ours though it should not be.

 

I agree....that was my first thought when I saw he was let go, he would be a perfect fit here.

 

Fisher has his boy.

He'd never even consider.
