Without looking at his contract status, I'd offer one of our 6th round picks from this years draft and a conditional 6th round in next year's draft (possible moving up to a 3rd rounder depending on Murray's performance).

And that's about the max I'd offer. I'd much rather take a flier on Doug Martin or Lamar Miller who are younger with less mileage on their bodies, and should come much cheaper.

Miller; yes. Martin; no. Martin has had injury issues, was great as a rookie and then great in a contract year, and nothing in between. He's gonna get PAID. I don't want to be the one on the hook for that bad contract.

Eagles just gave Sam Bradford 2 years, 36M (26M g)...

I though Chip Kelly was the insane one in that organisation.

Saw that last night, insanity. I said to my buddy, Bradford must be the richest most undeserving player in the league. He's proved nothing, been injured or average, yet gets paid elite money. I don't get it

I'm really torn between drafting Henry at #33 or acquiring Lamar Miller in FA. Overall, I think Henry would be the true Bell-Cow franchise RB this franchise has not really had since Eddie George. But Miller has a really good blend of size, speed and elusiveness, and could ascend to the the top of the league in running stats, if we upgrade our OL like we expect to....much like DeMarco Murray did with Dallas in 2014, playing behind their revamped OL.

    That's incorrect...

Dickerson ran for 390 times, next year 404 breaking records, then still led the league a couple years later with 388 carries and 1600 yards (both tops for that year).

Eddie George didn't do too bad after, and Gerald Riggs did well the season after the "390" barrier.

Generally they're not great backs that are getting 400 carries, if you look at the list it's pretty short and only a couple good running backs. Larry Johnson and Jamal Anderson played only a few productive years period, Wilder was good the year after, Dickerson, George was broken down by then already at the end of his career, Riggs played 5 years total, Davis was good (not great). It's not a very impressive list of running backs there...
