I don't think Eli had much to do with the win, the Football gods just really hate Brady lately. There were 4 drops in the last drive. Eli looked good and not based from his stats, his last name and his 2 SB rings and mvps will easily get him there.

The standard is most def higher. But kid is clutch and he wins big games. (though the pats game was a bit easy on him because the elite Brady wasn't so.... Elite.)

He was elite yesterday and it is very likely he will be elite in future SB games. And QBs who win multiple SBS go to the H of F.

Which is a really crappy double standard.

If you're a mediocre QB, you're a mediocre QB. Having a great team around you that makes it to the SB and a great coach shouldn't get you to the HOF.

The funny thing is, what's elevating his HOF talk is more-so Tom Brady than Eli Manning. And that's just... well, pathetic, really.

No he's not. If his name were "Eli Michaels" the media would view him differently.

I've never seen a group of receivers that make their QB look so much better than he really is. How many times this year have we seen Cruz/Nicks catch 8 yard passes and make like 4 defenders miss for long TD's? Eli is a good QB, he's just no elite in my eyes.

In the first SB win he was OK, but all of us know the Giants D-line won them that game. In this game he was good but in know way did I feel he won them that game, but he didn't lose it for them either.

The Giants have been fortunate this entire year, for the most part. Remember we're talking about a 9-7 team that squeaked into the playoffs mainly because of the Cowboys implosion once again. They beat an extremely rusty Packers team whose starters had a 2 and a half week layoff and it showed. They won a game in San Fran which they should have lost.

I'm just tired of all this Eli Manning talk, his career is almost exactly like Rapelethisberger, and I can't stand him either. They both catch all the breaks and get all the notoriety for their teams winning even though they are not elite.

Now were going to hear endless debate on who is the better Manning. Is it Eli because he has two SB wins compared to Peytons' one? Is it Peyton who has much better career stats? Sorry but Eli couldn't hold Peyton's jock.

I dont think he is an elite QB, but think hes good enough to get the job done more than once. I dont put him up there with Brady/Rogers/Manning/Breese.... but hes good enough to get the job done. Eli, with a better team, has more rings than 3 of the 4 QB's listed. trying to downplay that is kinda pointless.

That tells me that we just need Locker to be good enough to win us games. he doenst have to be the next Brady to win us a SB, maybe on more than one occasion. Just turn this into a solid team all the way around.

I don't either. Those are better QBs. But you've got to put Eli at #5 now.

I think Eli has done a very good job being that he's Peyton's little brother, and he's under the largest microscope on Earth. Only the President gets scrutinized more than the New York Giants QB.

I'm proud of the goofy guy from Ole Miss. Finding ways to get along with Tikki Barber and Brandon Jacobs isn't easy.
