Eli Manning

Eli is the victim of being Peyton's lil bro. If his last name was something common like Smith, I don't think we'd be having this conversation.

He still wouldn't be among the top 3 or even 5, but I'd consider him somewhere in the top 10 at least.

 

He made 2 bad throws all game. For like 3/4s of the game had had 3 incompletions (2 picks and a dropped ball). He's an above average QB.

 

I'm not prepared to say the SB appearance was a fluke. Eli was a kid struggling at the game and being accused of having none of the gifts to lead a team, and then suddenly it clicked and he stopped making mistakes the rest of that season. He got to the SB and won it far sooner than his brother did.

 

I'm glad I'm not a Giants fan. They're handcuffed to their QB because he won a Superbowl and guys are given WAY too long a leash when that happens. Yea he won the SB, good, he got on a real hot streak but honestly I don't see them winning anymore with Eli nor do I see Eli ever being that great of a QB for the remainder of his career.
