It's just weird because they love to hype up Houston and even Jacksonville as soon as they win a few games. I consider neither to be a big market. But we have to break barriers to get approval.

Sometimes it feels like the media does everything they can to NOT give the Titans any credit. In 2008, they called the Giants the best team in the league until we were maybe 8-0? Then they started praising everybody else as soon as we lost to the Jets, as if they were vindicated for not believing we were good. The year we started 1-4 and finished the season 11-5, I'd have to wait for the tail end of Sportscenter/NFL Live just to see a quick one or two play highlight on the Titans games.

We're just not a sexy team for some reason. Never will be.

^Well duh, the Titans play in Nashville, and not for that long. What's in Nashville? Only the Titans and some buildings. I'm sure Nashville has plenty to offer, but from the outside looking in, you're in the middle of no where. I love Tennessee BTW, but that's the perception the rest of America has on the area/team. After we win a title and hockey gets some popularity, all that disrespect will change. Also having the most predictable coach in all of sports doesn't help. Only in Tennessee does Jeff Fisher keep his job after all these mediocre seasons..

I never listen to the analysis of ESPN or any other national sports media. The majority of members of this site know the Titans better.

You have to be a straight up moron to say we'll go 5-11 like Vic Carucci did.

TJ, thank god for this forum because there is no way i could get that kind of info without you guys here.

5-11? I would love to see who all he has us losing to, I can't imagine us having more than 8 losses at worst.

I've been to Indianapolis, Houston, and Jacksonville... nothing special there.

I've never been to Seattle... probably just as "boring" as I picture Nashville to be, yet it didn't stop some ESPN analysts from predicting them to make the SB last year.

Jacksonville got hot a few Decembers ago and they were instant media darlings. Houston finally wins more than 4 games and the entire NFL is emphatically told to "watch out". The Titans win 8 of 10 games in the second half and "I dunnoooooo".

Location has nothing to do with being ignored every year. Tons of small markets are glorified (doing less) on ESPN all the time. Our style of play is the culprit.

I've never understood ESPN. They get down on their knees and bow to Jeff Fisher and proclaim him to be one of the best football coaches in the NFL.

On the other hand, all of their analysts pick us to have a losing season, every season.

    So which is it, ESPN?

    Who Cares ...

We're too much of a small market for them to spend any decent time on us. They'll be singing our praise near season's end. Just give them time to climb out of Favre's @$$Hole.
