Evan Mathis?

    The Eagles are shopping Prowbowl guard Evan Mathis. Thinking outside the box but any chance we could bring him in and convert Warmack or Levitre to tackle? Didn't Levitre play tackle in college? :)

    I dont know why, but the thought of Warmack at Tackle is scary, not in a good way.

    Lol. I always love these ideas to move an underachieving guard to tackle...

    Folks those are rarely interchange positions and if so its from tackle to guard not guard to tackle.

    I will say tho that if Mathis is that much better, and you could get him for a 5-7th I would be all for it.

    Cut Levitre.

    But Mathis is what, like 33. Not a long term fix

    Levitre DID play tackle in college. Just trying to have some fun here and the complete lack of available tackles is disheartening. Mathis is the man imo.

    Moving Warmack would certainly be a mistake. Warmack actually played very well toward the end of last season. It seemed as if he was starting to become the player we thought he would be. Really, it was like night and day from the way he was playing in his rookie year and even early on last year. Even JJ Watt commented on how much Warmack was improving.

    I would take a look at him while not worrying about moving anyone to tackle here. Warmack stays where he is and Levitre just needs to start putting any of his Nashville real estate on the market at this point IMO (regardless of what would happen with Mathis, or anyone else).

    I think we go for one of the available bodies left at RT in FA, and look OL in in the middle rounds of the draft. My gut is that the OL will be marginal at best next season at this point, and will be a focus next offseason as well.
