After looking at the film I'm very impressed with his decision making so far. He looks very calm in the pocket. Way better managing time and feeling pressure in the pocket than his rookie year. He really is growing as a pocket qb even if the numbers don't show it.
Thanks for posting these.
I read somewhere he's been sacked only 3 times this season so he's getting great protection and being smarter about throwing the ball away or running.
haha I watch these and disagree.
I wish whoever was compiling them would speed it up a bit though.
Glad they're recording them, though.
if only his wr's hadn't hit a wr bug early in the season, and he had his fifth overall pick......... it's just a pattern of over correcting until it can be dialed in first few weeks -- throwing high as opposed to short and possibility for int --
seems him and decker have the chemistry now.
The titans don’t have one receiver who can make tough catches. Who on this team comes up with the 50/50 ball?
Matthews has been making some clutch catches this yr IMO. Especially on 3rd downs.
edit: All those videos seem to be blocked for me :(. Actually looks like the last 2 videos work. In the Colts game, he actually looked pretty on point IMO.
I think last game was one his best games ever he was the QB of the week according to pff.
Yeah, after a few fluttering passes early on in the Colts game, he was pinpoint throughout. Even the incompletions were catchable. That Decker slant would have been a touchdown if the ball hadn't gone through his hands. Looks hella good as a pocket passer.
Isn't the point to get open so there doesn't need to be 50/50 throws? I like when Mariota makes 100/0 throws in favor of the WR.
