Excursion Train trip

My wife and I took the train yesterday from Nashville to Cookeville and back. Left the station at 8am, 3 1/2 hours later to Cookeville, took in a little bluegrass music, good food, a little shopping and then another 3 1/2 trip back to Nashville. I would recommend for anyone interested in "something different". I kept thinking, "this is how the world moved a century ago". Cool day.

I always wanted to do this and heard it was a lot of fun. My friends that went did the winery train excursion.

I would do it again, the wine excursion sounds fun.

I love train travel. I ride Amtrax from Birmingham to New Orleans every year.

I did the 2 day Canadian Rockies (Vancouver/ Banff) train experience about 10 years ago. I was sick as a dog one of the days but man was it utterly amazing...
