Most bookies get 10% of the vigor. Even with a push they collect. I have been betting games before you were born....lol. The line is still a pretty good indication of the teams potential to win or lose. I am always amazed at how close these guys come to nailing it each week. We should hire them instead of scouts.

Yeah well, they pass pretty good and we run pretty good, so we balance out. Our secondary was amazingly good today, all things considered. A few sacks at the right time helped too. I really thought MM would play better, but it was one of those days.

 

I agree, so effing crazy how the lines are almost always right on. Sometimes it will come to a freak last play and the line is right were it was predicted...crazy.

 

I would never bet with a bookie that keeps 10% of a push. lol A push should always equal no action.

Yea, it's a huge indication of who they think is going to win, for sure. But that opinion isn't all that drives the line ... getting as close as possible to a 50/50 split of action to guarantee a profit is the major driving factor.

 

On a side note, DGB did not play today for the Eagles. They were down to the red zone, down by 5 with a chance to beat the Redskins when Wentz got eaten up and fumbled because their RT let a guy get free. This is the 4th RT they have tried this year. I bet Kelly is thrilled he got traded.

 

My expectation is to run the table now. Enough said.
