The Texans defense got better without him in there. Coincedence? Nope... he doesnt fit the current scheme. The Texans are a better team without the guy and he will be playing elsewhere next season. Mario Williams is a nice player, but he isnt all world. Never has been. Thats fact.

Mario had 5 sacks in 5 games. And wait, I thought the D was overrated because of who we played anyway!? If you honestly think this defense is better off without Mario Williams you are football inept. I have already mentioned in my post that I cant expect the Texans to go far in the playoffs with our 3rd string QB at the helm.

I am right about the offense. The Texans offense is nothing special outside of Foster and the running game. I have plainly stated that I was wrong about the defense. They have now convinced me they are legit. So whats your point? Are you going to claim you have never been wrong about anything? I was man enough to admit it.

5 sacks in 5 games... wow. Sacks are the end all be all stat I see.

MW had 2 sacks against the Colts and Steelers and 1 against the Raiders. Against the Dolphins and Saints he did his disappearing act. Look at his history. He is always hurt and he takes games off, not just plays, but games. He is a nice player but the Texans Defense is better off without him. Especially next season when his number could be $21 million for 1 season. As a Titan fan I hope Houston signs him to a long term deal for HUGE money. I am sorry that in my opinion Brooks Reed is a better player and has a better upside than Mario Williams.

I wouldn't say that beating the Falcons at home makes the Cows legit. I mean come on, Atlanta got beat by the Buccaneers on the road, barely beat the Seahawks, and got slaughtered by Chicago. They aren't a very good road team this year.

Yea...ok this is coming from a guy that claimed the Texans would be lucky to win 2 more games after Schaub went down, the running game would be non existent after Andre went down, claimed the same thing after Schaub went down, and then even said Schaub's play action is what makes the running game work. For a 5th round draft pick who likely didn't get a snap with the starters before Leinart got hurt I'd say he did great.

In that situation you want to rely on the defense cand running game.
Keep it simple and don't turn the ball over.

We've seen many allegedly more talented QB's fail at their 1st hurdle over the years. If that was Lockers first start we'd be happy with it.

Who said anything about the passing offense being special without AJ and Schaub? I mean no sh** Sherlock. Take away the starting QB and one of the best WRs in the game.... Duh.

And dont be sorry about your opinion in regards to Mario. Just be in the very scarse minority. In 225 snaps Mario had 5 sacks, 2 hits, and 17 hurries. In 534 snaps Reed has 6 sacks, 5 hits, and 15 hurries. Teams gameplan for Mario, they double team Mario. Nobody gameplans for Reed.

ONly Texans fans say Mario gets doubled teamed and teams gameplan for him. It blatantly false. YOu Texan fans have been talking about Mario dbl team for years. They didnt exist. Brooks Reed is a better more versatile player. Mario is a 4-3 DE. He has a nice start against 2 very bad football teams and a Steelers team without a starting Olineman.
