been playing it quite a bit here lately, awesome gameplay with the freedom to do whatever (had to kill and steal the first couple of hours I played it then I was forced to restart due to lack of NPOs)

voice acting is well done (Liam Nesson plays your pops) and the storyline is pretty involving

It's a good game bordering on great. There's a lot of freedom in this game. I originally thought that Bethesda did a poor job at recreating the true feeling of Fallout series, because there was just too much emphasis on combat. But once I got my skills up in Speech, Sneaking, etc, I got to use less muscle (which is what Fallout series has always been about). The world is impressive, and the story is good so far. It's an involved game (100+ hours...easily...), and will probably be a game I pick up for 3-4 hours a week to relax with and take a few months to beat, but that's okay.

For those who don't like RPGs, this probably won't change your mind, although the combat is decent for a shooter (I rely on the VATS system less and less). Rent it to see how it feels if you're not a fan of Oblivion/Elder Scrolls type of games (which I'm not usually, but made the exception here cause I love the Fallout series).

just beat it - one of those games where after beating it you still feel like you've only completed like 60% of the game, which is probably not far from the truth

    fun game

I think the potential for Fallout 3 will be huge, as I hope the modders come out in full force for this game like they did with Oblivion. If they do, this game will have tons of replay potential.
