And so, Favre is back, for at least one more year and maybe another one after that (more on that later).

But even as he went through the team's first full-squad, on-field workouts under new coach Mike McCarthy - with a sore shoulder and two aching ankles - he admitted he's not entirely convinced he made the right call. Especially after suffering through last year's 4-12 debacle, the first losing season of his NFL career.

"I'm not going to lie. I wonder if it's the right decision," said Favre, who informed Packers general manager Ted Thompson on April 25 of his plans to play. "I really believe that if I decided to retire, there would be times throughout the season (when) I would say, 'You know, I should have went back. I can still do that.' But regardless of what decision I made, I think there (would have been) regrets at times.

Don't make this about respect. I think, like almost everyone that Favre is tops... but I can't help but compare this to McNair in my mind... and more than half of everyone says we should cut him (McNair) if it comes down to it. All Steve did was get beat various shades of black and blue in Houston, make a few comments and people here are using that as some air tight case to cut #9 if it came to it.

If I remember right, he came out the shoot pretty weak. He has been with the Pack since his second year in the NFL. He told the Packer faithful to give him 4 years (I should research but am too lazy) and the rest is legend.

Brett Favre is my most favorite player of all time, and I am thankful he is staying another year so I can go see him play at Lambeau. Texans fan first, GO PACK GO, second. Yes..........I do own a cheesehead. :ha:

  8. I hate you for owning a cheesehead, cheesehead fans make me wanna puke
