Ok..I dont dont know about being a a top 5 qb..but VY could be even better then where he is now if he wasn't held back so much (in terms of playcalling). And even when he's doing well..for some reason..we'll go AWAY from what was working and continue to stick to the epic fail gameplan..and hope that the other team hands us the game.

Its hard to grow when the head coach doesn't have any faith in you..even when your doing well. But Jeff fisher has had this blah strategy going now for years...so as someone else stated he's holding this entire offense back from showing how much better they really are

Well I agreed with benching Young in the Steelers game but I'm also not the coach. I'm not even sure if I would have done it. I would have REALLY considered it but who knows I'm not the coach. But Fisher is and between that and all the previous crap that's happened, he just doesn't have faith, it's obvious.

Last I checked the real good QBs make plays on 3rd down.
Even if you don't like Fisher running the ball on 1st and 2nd down your QB has to convert some 3rd downs. That simply didnt happen in the 2nd half.

It was Mariani who hurt Vince Young today and the whole team.

Vince would have had his chance with 1:30 left at around the 35 and 2 timeouts to either tie or win the game. That was his chance, his opportunity to do what a top 10 QB can do and i think he would have at least got us the 3 points for overtime.

But he didn't get that chance and Jeff fisher had not a damn thing to do with it.

REAL QB'S do make plays on third down, but even on the third downs he had they were called screens and it seemed the defense was in the hudlle.( because they knew what fisher was going to run) VY did not have a chance to make the third down conversion even if it was completed because it was a HORRIBLE play call. ;)

I agree. There wasn't much Vince could do on 3rd and 12 with a crap 5 yd play when he was about to be sacked and the play was sniffed out. He had Brian Dawkins in his grill. The play calling was really bad and super predictable. That was just one situation.

The problem is we dominated and lost again. Why? Because of extreme conservatism. You gotta trust Vince and make the best play calls. If he fails then so be it but at least you go down fighting.

By the way, there are a hell of a lot of QBs worse than Vince.

I think it is Vince Young that is hurting Vince Young. The Vince Young apologists in to realize that Vince is an average QB in the same way the Fisher apologists need to realize the Fisher is an average coach. If we finish 8-8 or lower this year we need an organizational overhaul starting with the coaching staff and QB's

Really? You might be right, but how can you say that after this game? Vince was dominating when given the opportunity.

    Mariani gave us 7 points.

In a fashion that isn't expected. Had we taken care of business... his play at the end is meaningless. But Fisher had already decided the game was over on our end by then.
