This statistic occurred to me today: over the last five years, starting with the horrible 2004 and 2005 seasons, we've now crawled back to .500 over the last 5 years.

    2004: 5-11
    2005: 4-12
    2006: 8-8
    2007: 10-6
    2008: 13-3

    40-40 = .500

Of course if we count 1999-2008, we stand a little better.

    1999: 13-3
    2000: 13-3
    2001: 7-9
    2002: 11-5
    2003: 12-4
    2004: 5-11
    2005: 4-12
    2006: 8-8
    2007: 10-6
    2008: 13-3

    Total: 96-64 = .667

It just feels good to be crawling out of the cellar after those two horrible years, which were a complete reversal of fortune from 2002-03. I am glad we're back on the radar now.

Anyway, wacky, useless stats, but I thought I'd share them anyway. I knew going into last season we needed the 13-3 mark to make it back to .500 over the "rebuilding" stretch, but completely forgot about it until now.

Kinda depressing...except when you count that we're going to win the Super Bowl this year.

Tennessee overall record, including POs, has been quite good. Definatly above average. Have an AFC Championship, and numerous PO appearances.

if we don't draft (or bring in) a quality QB real soon you might be right

That's a decent five year, and a downright impressive ten year winning percentage given the variables of parity in the NFL these days.

The amazing part is the quick turn-around for such a small market team...

As much as I'd like to scoff and laugh at that (which I really would like to)
You're right. He helped us out tremendously his first year, and parts of his second. He did help us get out of that "funk," Regardless of how much he may or may not suck now.
