Did you see him hit that 5th gear today on the way into the endzone? Where's that been this whole time? He was choosing not to put out 100% early in the season. Thats what Ive been calling him out on all year.. His lack of effort.

This is from today off rotoworld
Thats all as a result of caring again for some reason. Something he wasn't doing before.

We have tonnes of cap room. His cap hit is fine.

Yea Ive done some math and with his salary next year we have over $20M to spend towards the cap. His contract is easily affordable for us.

We had the team even talking about extending Verner and possibly Cook, we're spending money.

Yea me too and not cause I dislike C.J., cause I don't. But because when the big RB stops going full speed he still falls forwards and keeps the chains moving.

CJ can't take on all the carries for much longer. Eventually we'll have to commit to another back whether it's a high draft pick or going out and signing a top back in free agency. Just drafting a late round guy or signing a decent back won't cut it in a year or two.

I'm not defending CJ but clearly he didn't trust his OL after what happened last year and when he did get a whole to run through (a rarity) he tried to hard to make something out of nothing. He looks like a completely different back now.
