And he went against one of the weakest pass defensive team in the NFL.
People focus way too much on the beginning of the game. There are ups and downs during a game and sometimes the down comes at the beginning of the game.
The line couldn't open a hole, nobody is saying a word about that. Let the game develop.
Mariota led the titans to 7 scores over 8 possessions in the middle of the game. Would folks be happier if that happened at the beginning then Mariota went cold in the third quarter? Look at the game it it's entirety.
Other notes on Mariota. He took zero sacks. He ran for 27 yards (also had a TD called back on an iffy call). He had zero turnovers. Against one of the most disruptive defenses in the league.
Talking about Mariota haters, the very bias and terrible site PFF gave Marcus a 56.0 grade.
Those clowns ALWAYS disrespect Marcus. Even in his 4TD's games. They're a big reason his Madden rating is so low compared to worse QB's like Newton and Bradford since EA base their ratings on their crap.
Poor first quarter but responded by going
17-22 2tds and zero turnovers against a great secondary. Line did a great job. I still credit Mariota for the 20 yard touchdown run, beautiful run too bad it got called back.
Yep that's why I bought it up. No matter what he does the haters are quick to point the incompletions and bypass all the good. It's the half glass empty with the haters. Is he great, no but he is the best we have had in a long long time with a lot of upside and great work ethic.
Wilson was pressured on over 40% of his dropbacks. Mariota had a pass rusher somewhat close to him twice.
Not sure if we are bragging or complaining on some posts.
And he was throwing into the so called legion of boom.... Wilson was throwing to our out of place dbs who don't scare anybody
Yoda is indeed the face of our franchise nationally, and I love the kid to death, but I really feel like Lewan is becoming the face of the franchise in Nashville. I might be a little biased since he's my favorite person in the world, but this has been my observation from going to every game and being in Nashville every other weekend during the offseason.
Difference was- Wilson was actually being pressured.
