The Psychedelic Furs will be in Nashville Aug. 1st. I have my tickets, can't wait. Not the best location, War Memorial Auditorium, but hey I saw Van Halen there in the day so it should be alright. For those that don't remember or never heard of them:

    Many more.

Dig the Furs. I had a super hot gf back in the day who was a Furs fan....every Fur song I hear reminds me of her. First love, ya know.

I love the arrogant delivery and extremely chorused 80's vibe of "President Gas", the raunchy drive (and mix) of the entire "Talk Talk Talk" album....and that album's version of "Pretty In Pink". Like all bands in the 80's, the pressure to do happy love songs took the teeth right out of their career: not too keen on "Heartbreak Beat", "The Ghost In You" and "Heaven"...sorry, but Richard Butler shouldn't be doing love songs. He's much better suited for the pompousness of "Love My Way" and the confused angst of "All Of This And Nothing".

I'll give TT credit for posting "love My Way" which put them on the map, but those other two aren't very representative of the Furs.
Here ya go. The impatient among you should start at 1:12

Bowie has a new album out, haven't heard any of it yet...pretty sure it will be good, however.

Proudly I say I would not know "soulja boy" if I drove over him/them/her in my Ford pickup truck. LOL
