Forget Holt, or any other WR in free agency or trading positions.

We're done until the draft, where we'll take a WR in the 2nd round after taking a CB in the first.
I think our team/staff values chemistry far too much to bring in 2 receivers, especially 2 that would have immediate impact.
Washington is a huge upgrade, whether people realize it or not. He'll change a lot. He'll make it to where if you put 8-9 in the box, he or gage will make you pay.

He's much better than McCareins, and a good bit better than Brandon Jones. That being said- Hawkins, in my opinion can be better than BJones and McCareins also, given the play time. So asking for another receiver outside the draft is getting a bit greedy, and knowing our front office is just wishful thinking.

Our team likes role players. Guys that are solid, or will overachieve without being distractions or taking away from our game plan. We do the same thing on defense. Thus the reason we didn't sign Albert Haynesworth. People say we can't replace him? We can. His production at least. Maybe 2 players fill the void, but he wont be missed as much as some think.

I've criticized Fisher and MR a lot, but they have a good system working between them right now. As long as they stay dedicated to it, we'll be a solid team. We'll never be the greatest show to watch in the nfl, but we'll win games.

    So...

CB in the first, then a WR they'll slowly work in to the offense in the 2nd. Feels great to know that neither have to come in immediately though.

I think you're probably right about our FO being done with FA WRs, but...

why not sign a quality vet WR and draft a WR in round 2? We could get immediate production out of the vet and hedge our bets for the future on Hawkins/newly drafted WR.

    Just think...

    Holt/Gage/Washington

    or

    Harrison/Gage/Washington

Yeah, that line sounds good, but so did Roy Williams, Terrell Owens, and Patrick Crayton.
Santana Moss, Randle El, and D.Thomas/M Kelly.
These seemed unstoppable, but they never work out that way.

I think chemistry and roles are undervalued by a lot of teams.

Do you have some sort of inside source with the Titans organazation that told you this??

How are the lineups I put up anything like the one's you provided? With mine you get one proven vet that knows how to make big plays and two role players. Maybe Gage and/or Washington can turn into play makers, but they just have potential now.

I'm not saying bring in an allstar lineup, just someone who can make an impact immediately. Washington is a nice complementary receiver, just not a game changer.

No. I also don't have an inside source to inform me that we weren't going to sign Albert Haynesworth.

But I do have a source that goes by the name 'common sense'. I've been a fan of this team for a few years now, but all it'd take is 2 to understand what they will and won't do. I'll put a 200$ bet up via paypal if you actually think they'll take another WR outside the draft...

The point is, when you change that many receivers in a single season- it never works out. Unless you're the patriots.

I was kinda hoping they'd entertain the addition of Devery Henderson. If you go to Youtube, you can see some AMAZING footage of him doing good things ...

Unfortunately, some guy bothered to put together a reel of his drops. lol

    Then, I wasn't so sure.

But even still, go check it out. That guy has the amazing ability to seperate from his defender.

I'd take him, despite the occasional butterfingers.

    Wouldn't mind being the Patriots.

What is nice is that yesterday's signings removes any glaring needs entering the draft. I could see the Titans taking CB, WR, LB, DT, DE or even... gasp... QB or RB. Someone always slides and #30 will be a good spot to find some value.
