Forget Holt, or any other WR in free agency or trading positions.

The nick change has been good for him. Not so much of a pessimist anymore.

I'm not saying we're completely set at WR with this post, either. But I know Fisher, and I think I already know MR, and they didn't think we needed a receiver last season when we clearly did.
So I doubt they use #30 on a receiver. Maybe they'll try one in Rd 2, but I'd be completely shocked if it were rd 1.

We all thought it'd be WR last year when it was a dire need, and they chose a running back of all things. So now when it's less of a need? I don't know. Maybe they throw us for a loop again...

In my opinion there are still 3 open spots on this team for WRs. washington takes jones spot but we still have mccareins-p williams and davis' spots that we can upgrade. I think the common sense thing to do will be to bring in another guy similar in stature of washington(moore-henderson-johnson) and then draft a WR where the value is best.

By doing that we are not forced to reach for a WR if we think there is better value elsewhere like CB or DT..

Well we missed our chance for bryant johnson he signed with the lions for $3M a year a very reasonable price for a solid #3 type guy and decent #2.

Bey did a lot in college. I live in the Nova area so I saw him play. The dude is the Randy Moss of the NCAA but was highly underused in the Maryland offense. Whenever he got the ball in college he was a threat to score, hes faster then Percy Harvin, he can run the ball just as well as harvin, hes physical enough, and big enough to be a great receiver in the NFL.

Whatever team gets Heyward Bey is going to have a good player mark my words.

And its not like he didn't do anything in college, he caught 51 passes in 2007, 786 yards and 3 Touchdowns. Henry is a poor comparison because at the end of the season Henry wasn't projected to go higher then the 6th round. Bey was going to be a 1st-2nd rounder from the moment he declared wayyy back.

And another thing is, Heyward Bey didn't miss 1 game in 3 seasons at maryland.

I still think, for depth, we will sign a vet that we can get for close to 1 million/year before OR after the draft. It would be foolish not to, IMO. I think we've got our 2 main guys and we need another one (even if he's old or what have you) to plug in. Hawkins is not ready to start full time, but thats just my opinion.
