Freak Wants More Sacks

    SUMMARY: Since Sept. 21, Jevon Kearse has not put an opposing QB on the turf which has frustrated the three-time Pro Bowl player. He has been healthy for the first time in a few seasons but knows his season is defined by his sack numbers. "If you're not getting a lot of sacks, you're not doing anything," said Kearse. "I would love to get my sack total up." Entering today's game at Jacksonville, Kearse has 1.5 sacks, which ties him for sixth on the defense. He also has 28 tackles (19 solo) and 11 QB pressures. "Second half of the season, you're going to see him make more plays and be more of an impact player," Kyle Vanden Bosch said of Kearse.

    i thought anything over 6 sacks would be a bonus when we first signed him, but now it looks like anything over 4 will be.

    I could care less what his sack total is. He's been solid for us against the run, which is what I worried about most from him. He simply doesn't make a lot of plays that stick out in one's mind. I'm satisfied though.
