"Though DE was likely the most pressing need entering the NFL Draft, CB will certainly get more attention on Day 1."
Sounds like something that should of happened last year, not this year. Looking at the draft, I don't see too many day 1 CB starters on it.

I guess hind sight is always 20-20 but how the heck could we have gone CB last year in the draft? Hill looked promising, a real gem for a 7th rounder actually, and nobody could have predicted things would get this bad with pacman. You don't take a guy #6 in the draft one year and then freak out and draft another one early the next year.

You're right, but we are not going to find the answers in this years draft. We might find a future CB, but not a starter. I don't think Hill is the answer, maybe he'll have a better camp than expected.

Houston might be there round 2 or maybe Josh Wilson round 2 or 3 could be there. These guys will be reaches if we get Houston round one or Wilson round 2 but we might have to.

Picking a CB in the first round will be a mistake. We can stay in-house the year with CB or draft one on day 2 and be fine. We need to get a d-lineman.

I'm leaning that way, too, as I think one of the best ways to improve the corner's play is to put more pressure on the QB. We gotta get off the field on 3rd down.

houston would not be a reach at 19, that is around where he projected to go. if we pick wilson in the second, that would be a desperation pick, IMO. wilson would be a great pick in 3rd, but no way in the second.

I would love chris houston.... at the charger's 1st round pick... course that would mean we'd have michael turner too :)

I'm really pulling for Chris Houston to be there in Round 2
just not confident he'll be there @ 50
we might have to move up to get him
    but I wouldn't take him @ 19
    maybe @ 30 ?

why chris houston is more than worth the number 19 pick:

dwayne jarrett- 5 receptions 35 yards 0 tds
robert meachem- 4 receptions 65 yards 1 td
earl bennett- 4 receptions 31 yards 0 tds
    dwayne bowe- 5 receptions 68 yards 0tds

three of those guys will be first round picks this year, the other will be a first round pick when he comes out of school.
