The Titans need some stability at the safety position opposite veteran Michael Griffin.

Former Bills safety George Wilson would provide that in a hurry.

Wilson was released by the Bills earlier this week in a salary cap-saving move, and he’s scheduled to pay a free agency visit to the Titans.

Wilson finished second on the team with 104 tackles and was voted a captain in five of his eight seasons with the Bills. He’s a proven veteran who would also provide a settling influence in the secondary.

The Titans struggled to find consistency at the safety position last season, which forced Griffin to move in and out of his regular position.

The team used Jordan Babineaux, Robert Johnson and Al Afalava at strong safety opposite Griffin, who never really got comfortable during the first half of the season.

Wilson, who turns 32 next month, is also scheduled to visit the Lions and could also visit other teams, according to CBS Sports.

I think this could be a really good addition. I'm just worried because he actually looks just like Chris Hope. Eerily similar. Hopefully if we do add him we don't keep him around longer than we should like we did with Hope. I like the add which would help us this year and give us more flexibility to take a S later in the draft instead of early on.

Don't know much about him but sounds like he is a tackling machine but then again so has Griffin. Stats might be a bit misleading but hopefully he turns out to be a good add if we do get him.

Let's hope. Hate to think he could be worse than Babs.

The guy has 10 tackles less than Griff and Babs combined last season. That tells me he knows how to tackle. Thats what we need at the SS position right now. Some leadership and someone who can tackle.

Sign him (depending on how many years he wants of course)

He looks like Griffin and Hope together meshed into one guy, weird indeed.
