well you imagine wrongly. Nashville, last season averaged nearly 17,000 fans per night.. and had 44 home games.

Overall, throughout the season, more people watched hockey at Bridgestone than watched football at LP field.. almost 200K more. (although there are a ton more games) Almost 750,000 people went to Bridgestone to watch hockey last season.

but you are way off in saying that there probably aren't many hockey fans. You are dead wrong on that one. Go to a game and tell me that.. I was shocked by the energy of that stadium vs. the relative deadness of LP field.. It's night and day. Tickets are cheap, you should go to a game, I don't think you'll be disappointed. They are loud as hell on the weekend games, as well.. You should have been there when they knocked out the Red Wings in the playoffs. Downtown Nashville was like Mardi Gras. Absolutely nuts. I am a complete pessimist, and I HATED hockey.. 1 game, and I changed my tune.

and some of those are legit hockey markets with bigger metro areas. Better attended than Gretzky's old team, a NY team, the Devils, Colorado (Denver) and another Canadian team.. they are no joke.

The Boston Bruins averaged < 1,000 more people per game last year than the Preds.

she was cute, but that was her only asset. She was horrible at her job, and the production crew was even worse.

That is surprising. But I'm guessing the majority of people weren't hockey fans before they had a team. In 29 years I've never met anyone in TN that will sit down and watched hockey games regularly.

Being packed in with a bunch of screaming people isnt my idea of fun...so I probably wouldn't enjoy a hockey game live either.

It's still a growing thing, but it is definitely growing, and already has grown to where it's a legit NHL stadium on game nights, although it has people who want to talk bad about it (mostly uppity Canadians who think NHL should only be in Canada and the Northeast US, and think that Nashville is a bunch of ignorant hillbillies)
On the big game nights, it has all the energy that Adelphia Coliseum used to have. Nashville has the goods to bring the noise if you give the people something to cheer for.

The NHL All Star game is in Nashville this season. An honor they just don't randomly assign.

They are thriving, unlike some other cities in the USA where the NHL has expanded (Florida Panthers and Arizona Coyotes have very little fanbase)But the Tampa Bay lightning do pretty well, too.

I get to a game every other year.

But I have a good time when I go. Dont even mind the expensive beer/concessions cause I am having a good time. I buy zero concessions at Titan games

I love hockey personally, but I'm from Canada so that's a given.
I do find it funny some here say it’s boring though. Football has a lot of downtime throughout a game, whereas hockey is usually always moving. It depends on the team and system of course. That’s the main reason I can’t watch baseball, it’s so damn boring. But I love football because I grew up playing and it’s entertaining while a play is happening/ I think I read a stat that in a 60 minute football game, there’s 11 minutes of actual playing. That’s kinda sad lol.

The past half a decade or so I’ve always been more excited for hockey, because the Flyers were good and the Titans sucked. But with all the changes to the Titans this year and things looking up, plus another transition/rebuild year for the Flyers, I likely won’t be following much hockey until football is over. And if the Titans can finally right this awful ship, that will reflect in my excitement. (Don’t get me wrong, I always look forward to the season, they just haven’t given much to be hyped for prior to this season).

He seems to make a football move by turning up field ... that is why I call it a fumble.
