Honestly they'd be smart to let him sit. No reason to rush him into it, let him learn the game. Would be funny if the #1 and #2 pick both don't see any real action this year after those trades. Obviously this is a big debate... throwing your rookie QB to the wolves or having them "learn".

God I hope the Rams suck this year. Watch them end up with the #1 pick this year, would be the 2nd best thing Fishers ever done for this franchise.

 

Hopefully he get's thrown in there and turns into David Carr.

 

They basically just redrafted Sam Bradford.

 

I'm not surprised as this was a really bad QB class; in fact I'd say it's the worse since Geno Smith and EJ Manuel were taken in the first two rounds. I don't think either of these guys would have been draft in the first round if they had waited to declare this season. Watson and Kenya are both better prospects IMO.

You want your rookie to go in when he is ready. A full week of prep with the 1s, and a game plan tailored to his skillset/grasp of the playbbok.

What you don't want is for him to have to come off the bench cold in the middle of the game.

So he will probably go from 3rd straight to 1st when they feel he is ready

 

Except they don't have to pay him $70 mil
